One of the main reasons we have pain in the body is muscle tightness. When we overuse or strain muscles they become tight, these muscles will pull on the tendons and will become strained.
Acupuncture can help to relax tight muscles. Needle insertion on specific points will increase blood flow and reduce inflammation in these areas. The effect of this will allow muscles to relax and any injured muscles to heal. This also eliminates the strain on the tendons, allowing them to improve mobility.
Acupuncture is effective for nerve pain. Pain can be caused by pressure on nerves from muscle tightness or slip spinal discs. Specific needle insertion can address these tight muscles, reduce inflammation, and release pinched nerves.
Headaches can vary in areas of pain and the types of pain. As a Chinese medicine practitioner, I recognize several causes for headaches. Our unique diagnosing method brings us to patterns and provides the patient with the best treatment protocol to address each type of headache.
With addition to acupuncture, I often will utilize other Chinese medicine techniques such as guasha, cupping, moxibustion and massage to address the injury.

The digestive system is an important part of our immune system and affects your sense of good health. The two biggest contributors to digestive issues are your diet and your nervous system.
For treating digestive issues, I may need to evaluate how your body processes specific foods and what deficiencies are present. It is important to eat a well balanced diet while limiting processed and packaged foods.
The nervous system can also play a role. If our stress levels are high and our body is not assimilating correctly the digestive system is hindered and digestion will not flow properly. Acupuncture and herbal medicine can help reset this system by sending blood flow and aiding in the releasing of hormones to get you back on track.
